It is officially Brain Awareness Week 2018!
Founded by the Dana Foundation, Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is the global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. Every March, this year falling on 12-18 March, BAW unites the efforts of partner organizations worldwide in a celebration of the brain for people of all ages. Activities are limited only by the organizers’ imaginations and include open days at neuroscience labs; exhibitions about the brain; lectures on brain-related topics; social media campaigns; displays at libraries and community centers; classroom workshops; and more.
This year, EBC takes part in BAW once again, replicating last year’s event in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, “Expanding Brain Research in Europe”, this time with a focus on “Education, Behaviour and Brain Development”. Read more about the event this coming Thursday, 15 March, HERE.
