To help us spread the word about the launch of the RETHINKING Alzheimer’s disease project, we have created for you a communication toolkit that we invite you to share on your social media networks.

RETHINKING Alzheimer’s disease is a research-driven project, led by EBC and EFPIA, offering policy recommendations to make tangible changes with the aim to improve the lives of people living with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) across Europe.

RETHINKING Alzheimer’s disease – Focus areas
Building on the outcomes of the paper on “Alzheimer’s Disease Health System Readiness – The Time to Act is Now”, launched by EFPIA in 2020, the recommendations will focus on 4 areas: detection, diagnosis, AD interventions and treatment and monitoring.

RETHINKING Alzheimer’s disease – Prevalence
It is estimated that 9.7 million people in Europe alone already live with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. With a rapidly ageing population, it is a growing public health concern worldwide as this number is projected to rise to a staggering 14 million by 2030.
