On June 25 and 26, the Hellenic Brain Council participated in a two-day meeting with Members of the European Parliament from Greece and other EU countries at the European Parliament in Brussels, under the auspices of the European Brain Council (EBC). The aim of the meeting was to coordinate and strengthen actions for brain health, with a focus on developing new strategic plans in each EU country for both the prevention and treatment of brain disorders such as depression and Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, new funding tools were presented to support brain research and the development of innovative therapies. The Greek delegation included Dr. Ioannis Sotiropoulos (NCSR Demokritos), representing the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) and the Hellenic Brain Council; Professor Domna Karagogeos (University of Crete); and Dr. Athanasia Papoutsi (FORTH), both representing the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO).
