EBC will be present again this year at the bi-annual FENS Forum, the largest Neuroscience event in Europe, which rotates between different European countries and attracts more than 7000 international delegates. This year’s Forum will take place in Berlin, Germany on 7-11 July 2018.

With 42 neuroscience member societies across 32 European countries, FENS as an organisation represents close to 23.000 European neuroscientists with a clear mission to advance European neuroscience education and research.

EBC will be present as an exhibitor for the full Forum, located at Booth 12. Visit us there to learn more about our latest activities, including our recently launched Brain Mission calling for continued and increased support and commitment to brain research in Europe.

Furthermore, EBC will hold two events at the Forum. The 1st would be the EBC Special Session, “Structuring the future of Brain research in Europe” on 9 July 2018, at 12:30-13:30. The session aims to facilitate dialogue amongst experts on the mission-oriented approach of the European Commission and how the next Framework Programme can boost therapeutic innovation by bringing neuroscience and policymaking together. Confirmed speakers thus far are EBC President Prof. Monica Di Luca and Prof. Patrik Verstreken, Scientific Director & Group Leader, VIB Center for Brain & Disease Research, KU Leuven.

Furthermore, on 10 July 2018 at 18:45-20:30, EBC will partner with the The Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute (TCCI) to co-organise an event on the occasion of the European launch of ‘MINDS WIDE OPEN’, an innovative documentary featuring leading, international experts and compelling patient stories, makes the case that increased support is critical if we are to take advantage of this unparalleled opportunity to advance the science, unlock the wonders of the human mind and create a better world. A shortened version will be premiered, followed by a debate around the topic after the viewing. A reception will follow.
