European Brain Council Communications Toolkit

Welcome to the European Brain Council’s Communications Toolkit. Here you’ll find all key resources, guidelines, and best practices to maintain a consistent and professional visual identity across EBC’s communications.

Visual Identity Guidelines

Visual identity guidelines help everyone present the European Brain Council in a consistent, professional manner. By following these standards, you ensure our communications, documents, and presentations are instantly recognisable and reinforce EBC’s reputation and mission. Consistent use of logos, colour palettes, and typography supports a unified brand presence across all platforms and audiences.

  • Always use the current version of the logo.
  • Use the white version only on dark or colourful backgrounds.
  • When resizing logos or images, always maintain proportions: press and hold Shift while dragging a corner handle.
  • Do not cover the logo or overlay graphics in presentations.

EBC Colour Palette

EBC’s identity uses a specific set of colours to maintain brand consistency:

  • The main colour is a deep blue, with the HEX code #2E52A0.
  • There are two secondary colours: a bright blue with the HEX code #009FE3, and a dark grey with the HEX code #575756.

Whenever you prepare EBC communications or branding materials, use these colours consistently.

Typography

  • For all titles and the core text in PowerPoint presentations, use the ITC Avant-Garde font.
  • For Word documents and emails, always choose the Calibri font.

Using the correct fonts helps EBC present a cohesive and professional appearance across all its digital and printed communications.

A Few Words About EBC

Here is a short description about the European Brain Council, serving as the company’s profile text:

The European Brain Council (EBC) is a network of key players in the “Brain Area”, with a membership encompassing scientific societies, patient organisations, professional societies and industry partners. A non-profit organisation based in Brussels, its main mission is to promote brain research with the ultimate goal of improving the lives of the millions of Europeans living with brain conditions, mental and neurological alike.

With the aim to speak with one voice, EBC stands as the platform to foster cooperation between its member organisations and other stakeholders, consistently promoting dialogue between scientists, industry and society. As showcased by its growing portfolio of projects, research and policy papers, as well as events, EBC emphasises the importance of continued interaction with the European Institutions to build strong European health policies, raising awareness and encouraging education on the brain and the repercussions of neurological and mental health conditions on society as a whole.
