The Portuguese Brain Council is a non-profit association, gathering six scientific societies and five patient associations, that aims to promote brain research, improve the quality of life of patients affected by brain disorders, advance the understanding of the human brain and stimulate translational research. Our recent initiatives aim to raise awareness amongst decision-makers and government officials about the need to invest into brain research and address the burden that mental and neurological diseases impose on society.
