On Thursday 4th February, the Joint Action CHRODIS held its 2nd General Assembly for all Partners as well as Advisory Board and Governing Board members which was held in Madrid, Spain. The 3rd Stakeholders’ Forum took place in parallel with the GA.

The meeting discussed how JA-CHRODIS promotes the exchange and transfer of good practices in Europe. CHRODIS aims to emphasize the needs  for good practices through National Diabetes Plans in Europe: “What lessons are there for the prevention and control of chronic diseases in Europe?

Similarly, EBC’s CALL TO ACTION was launched in November 2015, calling on EU member states to develop National Brain Plans.

The meeting identified three elements important in developing national strategic plans:

1. Leadership

2. Strong advocacy

3. Flexibility
