As stressed in many scientific articles and in most of the health authority reports, the impact of COVID-19 on brain health during the last months has been a major and dramatic one, with severe mental and neurological consequences.

As the CoVID-19 pandemic spreads across Europe and the world, in response the European Academy of Neurology is launching EANcore CoVID-19. This resource aims to help neurologists in Europe and beyond prepare for and manage the challenges this global crisis is bringing. 

The European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA) has created a page dedicated to disease specific information and other useful resources in relation to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

The page of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA) contains links to high-quality COVID-19 resources for both health professionals and the general public. The EPA will expand the selection to include resources in multiple languages as they become available. 

Global Alliance of Mental Illness Advocacy Networks-Europe (GAMIAN-Europe), a patient-driven pan-European organisation, has created a COVID-19 Platform where you can find international and national resources, COVID-19 helplines and services, input from their members and much more. 

The COVID-19 pandemic has by now affected everyone, including the global neuroscience community. The BioMed Alliance launched a new page providing an overview of resources on COVID-19. The page contains information on BioMed Alliance activities and highlights materials that medical & research societies and relevant authorities have published on the COVID-19 virus. A series of links to relevant information pages is available on the page as well, including useful information on research funding, statistics and links to initiatives such as the European COVID-19 Data Portal. 

The General Secretariat of the Council has published a page that gives an overview on the latest meetings, press releases and policies of the Council of the EU and the European Council in relation to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

SARS-CoV-2 imposes a threat to human beings, to our economy and society. The Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI aims at rapidly generating a comprehensive COVID-19 pharmacome and to use the COVID-19 Knowledge space to predict new drug candidates and better treatments against COVID-19. 

The new SARS CoV II 2019 is spreading rapidly. Mandated by the ESCMID Emerging Infections Task Force (EITaF) and supported by the German Infectious Disease Society, the Lean European Open Survey (LEOSS) want to better understand the implications of the new virus on patients by systematically documenting patient data across Europe. Medical professionals are invited to register here.
