SUMMARY:Neuroinformatics Assembly
DESCRIPTION:The INCF Assembly 2021 aims to provide the neuroscience community-at -large with approaches that can be used today to implement the FAIR principles in their research. It also aims to provide tool developers and infrastructure providers with an opportunity to interact with the user community and to interact with other practitioners to advance the field of neuroinformatics. \nThe 2021 INCF Assembly will address topics around FAIR neuroscience such as: \n\nFAIR approaches for neuroscience in general\, neuroimaging\, electrophysiology\, and computational neuroscience\nElectrophysiology\, and computational neuroscience\nOpen innovation and intellectual property\nData science\nShowcase of tools\, infrastructures\nInformation about ongoing work in INCF councils and committees\nFunders and publishers roundtable\nWorkshops on developing standards and a roadmap for FAIR neuroscience\n\nThe INCF Assembly is the only international meeting that focuses on providing researchers with hands-on training experiences and enabling interaction with software developers and infrastructure providers through training workshops\, special interest group meetings\, and the INCF Congress on Neuroinformatics. \nFor info and registration\, please visit the website.

SUMMARY:EBC trains early-stage researchers to become a voice for neuroscience research throughout their careers
DESCRIPTION:In the context of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions on Innovative Training Networks funded by the Horizon 2020 programme\, EBC organised a workshop on the role of science in the European policy-making process. The workshop addressed to a group of early-stage researchers aimed to empower them with ways to become a voice for neuroscience research throughout their careers.  Participants were introduced to the European policy-making environment and EU funding mechanisms. They took part in mock-up sessions engaging with policy makers on different scenarios and could also interact in a panel discussion on career opportunities in science policy and advocacy. \nMore information about the ASCTN Training can be found on their website. \n
