Consensus Statement on European Brain Research – The Need to Expand Brain Research in Europe03-07-2016
On the occasion of the 10th FENS Forum, which is going to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 2 to 6 July 2016, the European Brain Council is organizing the Special Interest Event “Consensus Statement on European Brain Research – The Need to Expand Brain Research in Europe”.
Date and venue: 3 July 2016, 18.45 – 19.45; FENS Forum 2016, Bella Center, Copenhagen, Denmark.
In promoting brain health in Europe, the European Brain Council (EBC) recognizes the vital need to create a body of evidence supporting its call to give the brain a higher priority as well as to provide scientists and policy makers with the state-of-the-art knowledge concerning key needs in the field of brain research.
EBC’s Consensus paper is answering to this. The Consensus Statement, prepared by EBC, together with its Members and partners and in collaboration with over one hundred European scientists and patient representatives, not only presents proposals for future brain research programmes but also describes the needs and achievements of research in Europe.
