Exciting EBC agenda at FENS Forum 2018

EBC will be present at the upcoming FENS Forum 2018 starting this coming Saturday, 7 July, in Berlin, Germany.

FENS, a founding member of EBC, is the voice of Neuroscience in Europe. With 43 neuroscience member societies
across 33 European countries, FENS as an organisation represents close to 23.000 European neuroscientists with a
clear mission to advance European neuroscience education and research. Their biannual Forum of Neuroscience is
the largest international neuroscience meeting in Europe and draws a steady attendance of an average of 7.000-
8.000 delegates from around the world.

This year, not only will EBC be present in the Exhibition Hall over the 4 exhibition days (8-11 July – make sure to visit us as Booth 12 and get your ‘FENS Passport’ stamped!) but will also have two events over the course of the Forum. The complete details are below:

EBC Special Session

The EBC Special Session, ‘Structuring the future of brain research in Europe’, will take place on 9 July at 12:30-13:30 in Hall A2.

The European Commission recently unveiled its budget and proposal for a mission-oriented and impact-focused 9th Framework Programme or ‘Horizon Europe’. In view of the preparations for the forthcoming EU research scheme, the European Brain Council (EBC) aims to bring attention to the current barriers that affect basic and translational research and facilitate an exchange of views on how the post-2020 Framework Programme can make a real difference for patients living with brain disorders. The session will explore how the 9th Framework Programme can accelerate brain research across Europe.
